Singapore's only dedicated Printing, Packaging and Signage event kicks off in 3 weeks

SINGAPORE – PrintPack+Sign (PP+S), returns this 26 – 28 July at Marina Bay Sands Singapore, with exhibitors using the show to launch new products and services to the Singapore market.

Organised by BizLink Exhibition Services Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings, the three day event will take place at Marina Bay Sands, Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Level 1 Hall C.

International brands and exhibitors such as Konica Minolta, Fuji Xerox, Epson Singapore, OKI, USC Solutions and Chemtron, AVS Technologies, EIS Business System, CAS Technology, Botak Sign, Ever Shining, Goldprint, Newcam Systems have confirmed their booth space at this year’s showing.

2016’s edition was well-attended by local and overseas buyers from Philippines, Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc. Apart from buyers from the printing, packaging and signage arena, PP+S was also attended by direct corporate buyers from the advertising, design, entertainment, retail, education, F&B, healthcare, IT, shipping & transport industries.

Over 11,000 trade visitors are expected to attend the PP+S exhibition that will be held alongside the Office Expo Asia and Singapore Gifts & Premiums Fair 2017.

Attendees can look forward to new launches, the brand new Branding & Marketing Design Suite, a Festive Gifts & Packaging Design Showcase and a letterpress demonstration and workshop at this year’s PP+S.

New Launches Showcased at PP+S

Taopix 3D Designer by QUOTE & PRINT CONSULTANCY (Launched: 1 May 2017)
Taopix is a leading photo gift eCommerce software from UK. Taopix’s latest 3D Designer feature is a photo-realistic experience, intended to give consumers an enjoyable and interactive way of designing their 3D product by adding text and images and being able to immediately see the finished result by rotating the product on the screen.

MUTOH 626 UV A2 Size Flatbed by USC SOLUTIONS (Launched: 1 May 2017)
A new model, the VJ-626UF, is the next-generation LED-UV curable flatbed inkjet printer. The VJ-626UF supports the maximum media size of 594mm by 483mm, and also enables direct printing onto objects up to 150mm thick.

Mimaki 3.2M Grand Format Inkjet Printer by FIRST MEDIA SUPPLIES (Launched: 5 May 2017)
Mimaki’s latest model SWJ-320 S4 offers speed, high-definition quality, advanced nozzle recovery function to ensure continuous operation and operability for both indoor and outdoor signage.

Scodix Ultra Pro with Foil by JCI APPLICATIONS (Launched: 9 May 2017)
The state-of-the-art Scodix Ultra Pro with Foil system offers unmatched foil enhancement capabilities, including high gloss, embossed and a range of densities via an innovative and reliable digital process. SMART-51 ID Card Printer by LAMINEX-ID SYSTEMS SINGAPORE (Launching: 26 July 2017)
The IDP Smart 51 inherits the proven core elements of its predecessor the Smart 50, which in return gives the end-user a higher print quality on all cards. Enhancements to the new Smart 51 Printer include a new state-of-the-art CPU, user-friendly design and reliable parts. The printer will also be available in both a dual-sided module (51D) and lamination module (51L).

Uchida U-Booklet by NEOSYS DOCUMAIL (Launching: 26 July 2017)
The U-Booklet is a tabletop booklet making machine, which automates stapling/ folding documents. It can produce up to 800 sets of professional booklets per hour and has a built in LCD counter that clearly shows your job progress and settings. Thanks to its sophisticated design and small footprint, the U-Booklet fits in any working place such as office, small business, school, church, copy shop and print shop.

Programme Highlights at PP+S

Visitors and exhibitors will benefit from the sharing of ideas, latest innovations and solutions from both the exhibition and the brand new Branding & Marketing Design Suite. A 15-track seminar suite specially curated for PR, marketing and advertising professionals, sessions feature experienced presenters who will share on topics such as brand building and packaging design. Participants can anticipate a 3-day event packed with learning and networking opportunities!

Another highlight of PP+S is the Festive Gifts & Packaging Design Showcase housing works by students from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), 3D Design Programmes. Established in 1938, NAFA is Singapore’s pioneer arts education institution. Widely recognised in Southeast Asia, NAFA’s reputation is founded on its innovative curriculum and teaching approaches, as well as its diverse artistic creations. Other institutional and industry creative packaging design products and prototypes encompassing sustainable packaging solutions, marketing collaterals, gift, food & beverage, retail packaging will also be on display.

Apart from sourcing for equipment, machinery and solutions, attending buyers and design practitioners can take a peek in time at the revival of a manual creative print process – letterpress printing. A local letterpress and printing studio will be holding a demonstration and workshop of this technique of relief printing using a printing press during PP+S.
